Netflix & chill....minus the chill

With taking only 3 classes during my last semester at Bentley, I've had a disgusting amount of time to waste. What better way to waste time than by watching Netflix series after Netflix series, stuff my face with Orville's movie theater butter popcorn with my heating blanket on? Sounds absolutely orgasmic to me! So without further ado, here's a list of my favorite Netflix & HBO series I've been obsessively watching for the last whatever number of weeks.

#1. The Sopranos

Okay so this is one of my favorite series. It's actually on HBO. You'll love this show if you're into crime or the ins and out of the mafia. I will admit it is very graphic at times and at times very suspenseful. You really become involved in every character's lives and you learn how they balance their work with the mafia and spending time with their families. A major plus is that you'll start using phrases like "gabagool" (something to eat), "goomah" (side hoe), "jamook" (idiot), or "marone" (damn it).

#2. Love is Blind

Some of you guys might've already seen this show. It's on Netflix and became popular almost instantly. It took a while for the show to become entertaining because they had to introduce the contestants. So there is a girl on one side of the wall and a boy on the other. The point is to see whether they can form a deep emotional connection without actually seeing the person. After some time the boy has to decide whether he wants to propose to the girl he has developed the deepest connection with. The couple then meets in person, spends some time in the real world together and has to eventually walk down the aisle and say "I do" or "I don't."

#3. Breaking Bad

This is easily my favorite show on Netflix. I've now watched it 4 times through. Walter, the main character is diagnosed with cancer, and to support his family he starts cooking meth. It is suspenseful, funny and definitely violent. I have heard a lot of people say it took them some time to get into. If you start the show, stick it out. It is the best.

#4. Ozark

This is another amazing show. If you watch, you should start from the beginning because the plot develops as each season is released. A normal family finds themselves laundering money for a psycho drug lord. I wasn't immediately into the show because the main character Marty is a little awkward but he becomes more likable as the show continues.

#5. Tiger King

This show is fucking crazy from start to finish. This show is an absolute roller coaster ride. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just tell you to watch it. It's a quick series with only 7 episodes.

#6. Cheer

Okay so I did not think I would like this show. I don't have any real experience with cheer so I thought I'd watch one episode and move on. Nope! I freaking loved it. It reminded me of my years in gymnastics. The long practices, the bitchy coaches, the ridiculous workouts where I thought I'd die. These cheerleaders are fucking nuts. A quick and entertaining watch.

#7. Queer Eye

This is just a feel good show. These 5 guys are absolute QUEENS! The cutest, sweetest, selfless, hilarious gay guys to ever be. They help give someone a complete makeover of their wardrobe, cooking skills, their home, their outlook and their appearance. The outcomes are just unreal. You can't help but smile... and sometimes tear up during the entire show.

#8. The Mind of Aaron Hernandez

A very very quick watch on Netflix. I like this series because it gives you more background on the entire case. I knew a lot prior to this show coming out, but I enjoyed the interviews with Aaron's best friends from childhood.
