You already know that I'm an absolute coffee feign. An addiction I cannot kick. I recently moved to Somerville, MA and have been on the hunt to find the best coffee around. I've had some luck finding cute cafes that not only serve coffee but also serve some damn good food. If you're reading this and you like coffee... send along your recommendations. It may sound fuckin weird but I have a goal to try as many coffee spots in the greater Boston area in 2021. You know I'm serious about this goal when I'll drive all the way to Waltham to have my fix. PSA: I'm going to include some lunch spaces in the area that I've come across as well (If you click on the picture, it will direct you to their website!)

Forge is my go-to spot for coffee. It's a strong one so be cautious! You can order your favorite goodies online or in person. Their sesame bagels are to die for and every so often they'll have a tomato bisque on the menu that's delicious.
3 Little Figs is very similar to Forge Baking and their coffee tastes almost identical. They have one of the best sandwiches I've had (turkey, arugula, cheddar and apple.) They also have a chia pudding that is super filling for lunch. You can also order both online and in person for this cute lil spot!
This is my newfound discovery (thanks kgooch!) This place is situated right in Harvard Square near Felipe's. The aesthetic is on freakin point with green plants and adorable wall tiles. The avocado toast is absolutely to die for and the iced coffee is pretty good too! They have beet lattes and juices as well. AND if you're not full afterwards, the best joint Sweetgreen is a minute walk away!

Yea yea yea... no need to tell me. I know I've already talked about Quebrada in past posts. But SUPRISE! I've discovered a new location that's closer to us city peeps. Located right next to Otto Pizzeria in Arlington, this location is much more spacious than the Belmont one. They offer the same options (coffee, pastries and croissants with broccoli & cheese inside.) Don't let this discredit everything I've said above, but Quebrada will most likely always be my favorite coffee in and around the city. If you can change my mind, I'll pay ya $100.
I was more than pleasantly surprised with Ward 8. To be honest, I thought it was going to be sub-par because of how overhyped it is. But, I had an unreal meal there. I've had both breakfast and dinner with drinks here and have enjoyed both. The acai bowl, home fries and arugula salad are delicious. The night cocktails were very strong (which is what mama likes,) but are very strange flavors all mixed together. Would 1000% go again and head to Modern Pastries right around the corner next time!
Because what else is there to do during these times than drink??? If heaven existed, this is what it would look like. Maybe I'm a crazy person, but I ain't the biggest fan of Café Vittoria. I mean it's good but I think it's a bit overrated. This place is the spot for an unreal espresso martini. They're actually known for their pistachio martini and they have gelato for a lil side dessert option. Once thing we always say in my family...no matter how full you are after dinner, there's a little hole in your stomach that's waiting for dessert. Don't have to tell me twice!
Well well well... another spot at the top of my list. I actually discovered this lil joint in P-Town while attending my favorite thing in the world to attend... the pride parade! The coffee is so different and they offer pour overs as well. If you're looking for a lil treat, they offer avo toast on multigrain bread and yogurt parfaits.... which reminds me of my 3rd favorite movie of all time... SHREK (Have you ever met a person, you say, "Let's get some parfait," they say, "Heck no, I don't like no parfait"? Parfaits are delicious. Shrek: NOOO!!! YOU DENSE, IRRITATING, MINIATURE BEAST OF BURDEN!)
Okay, as you can tell it's late at night and I'm starting to lose my shiii. Report back on whether you like any of the spots I've suggested or if you have any you'd like my lil caffeine addicted ass to try!
